We invite everyone to come out and celebrate with us! The Douglasville Police Department, in partnership with Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, is sponsoring a Jamboree at our Community House “House of Hope” located at 8304 Hollis Street, Douglasville, GA,. The Jamboree will include information from several surrounding city and county resources, a Spades tournament, balloon animals, kids activities, food, music, and more. There will be something to do for everyone. Parking available at Simpson’s Mortuary adjacent to the event.

The Cultural Arts Council of Douglasville/Douglas County is hosting its annual fundraising gala, themed “Candyland” on November 21st from 6 – 10 pm. This year the event will take place at The Douglasville Conference Center. Come enjoy a tasteful dinner, a stylish cash bar, classy music for dancing, charming Silent & Live Auction.

The “Face Matter” exhibit proposes a theme that begs the question, what are we made of? And what are we born to make?
Just like we can not define what we are each made of, the answers for life are limitless. We are meant to explore it all and dance among the matter of life. Come view the gallery show and dance through visions of matter, all while we celebrate the creators.

On January 11, a virtual experience will debut in place of a reception. The virtual event will post on social media and Artsdouglas.org and will be hosted by DC Connections. Watch and react as you view extra special interviews with the artists and plenty of surprises! Be a part of the experience, and make sure to come in for a tour of the exhibit before it ends February 25.
